HOUSTON, TX – A burglary suspect was taken into custody after being found stuck in a chimney at a home in southwest Houston around 1 a.m. on Easter Sunday, after he apparently confused Easter with Christmas.
The incident occurred in the 9100 block of Tooley. According to the Houston Police Department, the call initially came in as someone jumping on the roof.
Officers determined the individual was a burglary suspect who became stuck partway inside a chimney and did not make entry into the home.
The Houston Fire Department responded to the scene and removed the suspect from the chimney.
The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
