HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police Department homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found deceased under suspicious circumstances at a northwest Houston mobile home community.

The investigation is taking place at the Chrystell Mobile Homes Community in the 4600 block of Chrystell Lane. According to the Houston Police Department, Houston Fire Department crews were initially dispatched to the home for a deceased person call. When firefighters arrived, they observed suspicious circumstances and contacted Houston police.

Police said officers responded to the scene and determined the case would likely be investigated as a homicide. The deceased was identified only as an adult male.

According to the Houston Police Department, family members had been unable to contact the man throughout the day. One of his sisters later went to the home and, with the help of a neighbor, entered the residence and discovered the body.

The exact cause of death remains under investigation pending examination by the medical examiner’s office.

No weapons had been recovered as of the briefing.

The Houston Police Department Homicide Division is continuing the investigation.
