According to police, a Peterbilt dump truck traveling southbound failed to slow for traffic and struck the rear of a Ford Edge, causing a chain reaction involving a Nissan Altima, a BMW X2, and a BMW 135. The driver of the Ford, a 62-year-old woman from Bel Air, Maryland, was taken to a hospital where she died. A passenger, a 64-year-old man from Bel Air, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police said a Dodge Ram traveling westbound crossed the center line into the eastbound lane, striking the front left side of a Ford F-450 box truck. HARRINGTON, DE – Delaware State Police have identified 64-year-old Lorenza Bailey Jr. of Milford as the man killed in a two-vehicle crash in Harrington. The crash occurred around 9:00 p.m. on October 31 on South Dupont Highway near Tower Hill Road. According to Delaware State Police, a Ford Fusion was traveling northbound and entered a center crossover to turn left onto Tower Hill Road. At the same time, an Infiniti G37 was traveling southbound in the right lane when the Ford crossed in front of it. MIDDLETOWN, DE – Delaware State Police have obtained an arrest warrant for 38-year-old Francisco Mendez-Peralta of Chestertown, Maryland, in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred Thursday night in Middletown. Around 7:50 p.m., an E-Bike was traveling northbound on Middletown Warwick Road when it was struck by a Chevrolet Equinox. The impact ejected the 62-year-old rider, who was flown to an area hospital and later pronounced deceased. The driver of the Chevrolet fled the scene. WILMINGTON, DE – Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on July 21 in the 700 block of North Franklin Street. Officers with the Uniformed Services Division responded to the area around 10:02 p.m. for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located a 50-year-old victim, identified as Donnell Seeney, who was transported to a hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
