Three arrested in Indiana human trafficking investigation tied to massage parlors

KOKOMO, IN – A multi-agency investigation into human trafficking led to the arrest of three individuals on felony charges following the execution of multiple search and arrest warrants across Indiana on October 15, 2025. The fourteen-month investigation, spearheaded by the Indiana State Police Peru and Indianapolis Posts, revealed that several massage parlors were being operated as fronts for prostitution. Arrest warrants were issued by the Howard County Superior Court II for Yanyan Zhao, 35, and Xingchen Li, 36, both of Noblesville. Amanda Kegg arrested for conspiracy to commit murder in deaths of Malisa and Michael Kegg III

PRINCETON, IN – Amanda N. Kegg, 34, was booked into the Gibson County Detention Center on October 1, 2025, around 4:30 p.m., on an arrest warrant for Conspiracy to Commit Murder, a Level 1 Felony. According to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office, Kegg’s arrest is connected to the ongoing investigation into the December 31, 2024, murders of 51-year-old Malisa Kegg and 34-year-old Michael Kegg III. On January 1, 2025, 53-year-old Michael Kegg Jr. was arrested and charged in connection with the same case. Gibson County Detectives Sgt. Evansville passes new ordinance to regulate Bitcoin ATMs amid rising scam losses

EVANSVILLE, IN – The Evansville City Council has approved a new ordinance aimed at curbing a surge in scams involving Bitcoin ATMs, also known as virtual currency kiosks, after local victims reported more than $400,000 in losses over the past year. According to a September 11, 2025, announcement by the Evansville Police Department, the EPD Financial Crimes Unit collaborated with City Councilor Mary Allen and the AARP to draft the new rule, which will become law once signed by the mayor. The ordinance, codified as Evansville Municipal Code - Chapter 8.45, targets scam activity exploiting the anonymity and speed of Bitcoin ATM transactions.
