2 dead after Amtrak Train Hits Vehicle in Northeast Harris County An Amtrak train (#824) hit a vehicle Saturday April 16, 2022 in Northeast Harris County in the 120000 Block of Beaumont Hwy @ Van Hut Ln after a car (possibly a Chrysler 300) tried to go around crossing arms that were activated. The vehicle had two occupants and bursted into flames after impact. One person was found deceased in the vehicle.
