HOUSTON - A 20-year-old woman was shot in the neck during an early Wednesday morning incident in the parking lot of a southeast Houston business. According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded at about 3:38 a.m. to the 1500 block of Lombardy after reports of a shooting. Investigators said a vehicle occupied by a male driver and the 20-year-old woman, who was seated in the back seat, was parked at a business in the 4800 block of the Gulf Freeway with another SUV. Police said the business key holder received a call about people in the parking lot and went to investigate. Driver killed after vehicle crashes into Sam Houston Tollway plaza, catches fire

HOUSTON, Texas — A driver was killed after a single-vehicle crash at the Sam Houston Central Toll Plaza late Tuesday night. According to police, the crash occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. at the Sam Houston Central Toll Plaza, located at 6121 W. Sam Houston Parkway North. Police said a single vehicle crashed into the toll plaza and caught fire. The driver, who was the only person inside the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Man charged with murder after shooting girlfriend in east Houston

HOUSTON - A man has been charged with murder following the fatal shooting of a woman in the 11100 block of Maritime Drive in east Houston. The victim was identified as Tonya Swink, 41. According to investigators, Swink and the suspect, Cody Prince, 29, were in a dating relationship. Police allege the couple began arguing and that Swink was threatening to end the relationship when Prince allegedly shot her. Swink was pronounced deceased. Following the investigation, Prince was charged with murder and booked into the Harris County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.

HOUSTON, TX - A Mustang driver went around a roadblock set up by Harris County Sheriff deputies and drove into an active crash investigation scene earlier today on Kirby @ Beltway 8. Deputies attempted to get him to stop, but the driver decided the better course of action was to evade them and decided to take off. Fortunately, no deputies were injures. The crash involved a semi-tractor and a passenger vehicle, and the roadway was shut down for several hours as officers investigated. One person was transported to the hospital from that crash and is expected to be okay.
