Reckless driver in BMW dies after pursuit ends in head-on crash in Baytown
BAYTOWN, TX – A male driver was pronounced deceased after crashing during a police pursuit on SH 146 near Crystal Boulevard.

According to Baytown Police Department, around 8:00 p.m., officers observed a BMW traveling at a high rate of speed on SH 146 near Alexander Drive. The driver refused to stop when officers attempted a traffic stop and continued northbound. Officers lost visual contact several times before the pursuit entered Chambers County, where the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office took over.
