Man hospitalized after being shot twice while standing outside of his apartment

HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police are investigating a shooting that occurred around 2:20 a.m. today in the 9600 block of West Montgomery at the Garden City apartment complex. According to police, an adult male was standing outside his apartment when two unknown males approached him and began shooting, striking him in the torso and leg. The suspects then fled the scene on foot. When officers arrived, they rendered aid to the victim and secured the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. No other individuals inside the apartment were injured. HOUSTON, TX – A storage shed and a tree caught on fire near Fulton and Crosstimbers in north Houston just before 1 a.m. Saturday morning. The fire was quickly contained by the Houston Fire Department, and no injuries were reported. According to a witness named "Butterfly," who was the first on the scene, he immediately called 911 upon seeing the flames.
