I Update 11/6/24: Initial reports stated that the family believed the shooting may have been a suicide attempt. HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police are investigating a shooting that occurred around 2:20 a.m. today in the 9600 block of West Montgomery at the Garden City apartment complex. According to police, an adult male was standing outside his apartment when two unknown males approached him and began shooting, striking him in the torso and leg. The suspects then fled the scene on foot. When officers arrived, they rendered aid to the victim and secured the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. No other individuals inside the apartment were injured.
