COLUMBUS, TEXAS - In the early hours of this morning, the Columbus Fire Department responded to a car fire on Highway 71 near Richter Road. The incident, which occurred at approximately 2:00 AM, presented unique challenges due to the presence of magnesium in the vehicle and a ruptured fuel tank.
