HOUSTON, TX – A single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning left one woman dead and two others injured in the 600 block of North Eldridge Parkway.
The crash occurred around 1 a.m. when a sedan carrying three women in their 20s struck a tree. The back-seat passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and front passenger were transported to a local hospital with injuries and are expected to survive.
Investigators reported that open containers of alcohol were found in the vehicle and believe alcohol consumption may have been a factor in the crash. Authorities are working to determine the cause and whether charges will be filed.
