HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man was fatally shot by his brother during a domestic disturbance at a home in north Harris County.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at a residence located in the 700 block of North Vista Drive.
Deputies with Precinct 4 arrived to find a woman outside the home who told them one of her sons had shot her other son. Deputies entered the house to check for victims and discovered a man in an upstairs bedroom with multiple gunshot wounds. They attempted to render aid until EMS arrived, but the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
While inside the home, deputies heard movement and located the suspect, identified as the victim’s older brother, hiding in the same room. He was taken into custody without incident.
Deputies exited the home and requested a search warrant to continue processing the scene. Investigators said the deceased, born in 1993, did not reside at the home but had come to assist his mother. The suspect, born in 1974, lives at the residence and was transported to 601 Lockwood for questioning.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
