CHANNELVIEW, TX – A man was shot and killed following an argument outside a residence in the 16000 block of Avenue C.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the shooting around 7:40 p.m. Deputies arrived to find an adult Hispanic male unresponsive in the front yard. EMS pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Investigators say the suspect was first involved in a verbal disturbance with another man, which did not result in gunfire. After that individual left, the suspect engaged in a second argument with the complainant, which escalated and ended with the shooting.
The number of shots fired and the type of firearm used remain unknown. The residence where the incident occurred is reportedly rented and occupied by multiple individuals.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
