Suspect arrested following armed robbery at Friendswood bank

FRIENDSWOOD, TX – A 58-year-old Houston man has been charged with robbery following an armed bank robbery that occurred in Friendswood.

According to the Friendswood Police Department, officers responded at approximately 11:05 a.m. on May 29, 2025, to a report of an armed robbery at Bank OZK, located at 301 E. Parkwood Ave. Witnesses provided information and surveillance video that enabled officers to identify the suspect vehicle and track it into Houston.

At approximately 12:47 p.m., the Friendswood Police Department’s Field Support Unit, with assistance from the Houston Police Department, located the suspect in a gray Acura SUV at the intersection of Magnum Road and Dacoma Street. The vehicle was transported to the Friendswood Police Department and processed for evidence. Officers recovered an airsoft gun resembling a 9mm pistol, the suspect’s bag from the bank, and money.

Michael Noil, 58, of Houston, was charged with robbery by the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office. His bond was set at $200,000.
