HOUSTON, TX – A person was found shot Monday morning in the middle of two buildings at a shopping center located at 54 E Crosstimbers near the intersection of I-45.
According to Houston Police, officers responded to the shooting, which was reported at 8:13 a.m. Officers were dispatched at 8:15 a.m. and arrived at 8:20 a.m., where they found a Black male in his late 20s on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head. HFD arrived on scene and transported the victim to Ben Taub Hospital. He remains in serious condition.
According to a spokesperson for a family-owned restaurant that bordered one side of the scene, the shooting occurred closer to the Domino’s side of the property. The spokesperson also stated that the shooting did not occur while their restaurant was open.
Police stated that several witnesses saw and know the suspect. Security footage from nearby businesses captured the incident, and officers have obtained clear footage, the identity of the suspect, and license plate information for the suspect vehicle. Officers are currently searching the area for the suspected shooter.
