HOUSTON, TX – A man was shot early Saturday morning following an altercation involving three suspects near the intersection of St. Emanuel Street and Walker Street.
The incident occurred around 1:50 a.m. in the 900 block of St. Emanuel. According to HPD, officers responded to the scene and found a male victim, believed to be in his late 30s to early 40s, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police stated the shooting followed a verbal altercation on the street. The three suspects fled the scene on scooters but were all detained shortly after, including one in the 1100 block of Chartres.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition. The victim told officers he had been at a nearby venue prior to the incident and did not know the suspects.
