BELLAIRE, TX – A pursuit involving a stolen Corvette ended in a crash and arrest earlier this evening after the suspect entered Bellaire city limits.
According to the Bellaire Police Department, officers were alerted by the Houston Police Department about the ongoing chase and were requested to assist with patrol and traffic support. Bellaire officers joined the pursuit as it moved through their jurisdiction.
The suspect eventually crashed the Corvette and attempted to flee on foot. A perimeter was quickly established with the assistance of HPD’s Air Support unit.
Bellaire officers located the suspect and took him into custody. Further investigation confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen, and the suspect was in possession of a firearm at the time of arrest.
