HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man has been charged after allegedly fleeing from deputies during a traffic stop on the North Freeway.

According to Constable Mark Herman, Pct. 4, the incident occurred around 7:50 p.m. on August 1, 2025, in the 20100 block of the North Freeway. A deputy attempted to stop a vehicle, but the driver reportedly refused to pull over, initiating a brief pursuit.
Deputies successfully stopped the vehicle and took the driver into custody. He was identified as Matthew Munoz, born July 2, 2006.
Munoz was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on one count of Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle. His bond was set at $5,000 out of the 179th District Court. He has since been released on bond.
