After-hours club raid at Underground Storage leads to arrests, drug seizure, and building closure

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department’s after-hours club task force conducted an operation around 2:30 a.m. Saturday at a club called Underground Storage, located at 101 East Little York.

Police said the raid followed a crash involving an HPD sergeant and a patron leaving the club. HPD had received multiple complaints of illegal alcohol sales, narcotics, and excessive noise at the location. During the operation, cocaine was located inside the club and seized by officers.

Two individuals were arrested for selling alcohol as bartenders after legal sale hours, and three management employees were arrested for permitting after-hours alcohol sales. Multiple cases of untaxed and unpermitted alcoholic beverages intended for on-premises consumption were confiscated.

Several patrons leaving the location were detained by DWI enforcement units, and DWI investigations are ongoing.

Inspectors determined the building did not have a certificate of occupancy, a fire escape door, or up-to-code electrical systems and deemed it unsafe. Multiple agencies assisted in the operation.
