HOUSTON, TX – A man was killed in a shooting at the Westchase Forest Apartments in west Houston Saturday night.
The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. in the 11355 block of Richmond Avenue. According to Houston Police, officers with the West Side Patrol Division arrived to find a large crowd in the area. Witnesses reported an altercation during a party that was followed by people scattering and gunfire being heard.
A male, approximately 31 years old, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department personnel. Police said a firearm was recovered from the scene.
The shooting happened in a foyer-type area outside of apartment two, near but not in the main parking lot. Several individuals have been detained for questioning.
