Lufkin man arrested third DWI in Livingston

LIVINGSTON, TX – A Lufkin man was arrested Wednesday evening in Livingston after police responded to reports of an intoxicated individual acting erratically.

According to the Livingston Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Boot Barn and later located the suspect at a nearby gas station. The driver, identified as 58-year-old Timothy Whittington, showed multiple signs of intoxication and had open alcohol in his vehicle.

Whittington was arrested and taken to the Polk County Jail. Due to multiple prior DWI convictions, his charge was enhanced to felony DWI (third or more).
