BEAUMONT, TX – Beaumont Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run after a man was found deceased in a grassy median along the highway on Sunday morning.
At approximately 9:00 a.m. on September 7, 2025, officers responded to a priority welfare check after a citizen reported discovering the body. Upon arrival, police determined the individual appeared to be the victim of a hit-and-run crash.
The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Vinnie Sang Nguyen, a Beaumont resident known to be a transient. Investigators say Nguyen was last confirmed alive when he was released from the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, around 7:50 p.m.
