The Anchorage Police Department has issued an alert regarding a statewide 911 outage.

According to APD, residents who need to reach police dispatch should call 3-1-1 (option #1) or (907) 786-8900 until the issue is resolved.

If you live outside of Anchorage, you are urged to contact your local non-emergency line.

It is not known how long the outage will last.
