Texas Uber Eats driver arrested for displaying fictitious license plate; deputies deliver food

TEXAS – An Uber Eats driver was arrested after deputies discovered a fictitious license plate on his vehicle during a traffic stop in Spring.

According to Constable Mark Herman’s Office, the incident occurred at approximately 5:34 p.m. on September 21, 2025, in the 2300 block of North Spring Drive. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and found that the driver, identified as Ronaldo Carrillo, was operating a vehicle with a paper license plate that did not match the vehicle.

Carrillo, who was actively delivering food for Uber Eats at the time, was arrested and charged with Tampering with a Government Record, a misdemeanor offense. He was booked into the Harris County Jail with bond set at $100.00 out of County Court 8.

To ensure the delivery was completed, deputies personally delivered the customer’s order.
