HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police have arrested two additional suspects connected to a robbery that occurred just prior to the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Felix Caxaj Tax in southwest Houston.

The incident happened around 11:05 p.m. on September 21 in the 3400 block of Unity Drive. Officers were first called to a robbery and carjacking in the 6300 block of Skyline Drive, where a man reported that three Hispanic male suspects, one armed with a rifle, had taken his vehicle by force. While officers were on scene, a citizen alerted them to a male lying on a nearby sidewalk. Police then located the victim, Caxaj Tax, with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators determined that after the carjacking, the suspect with the rifle drove west and attempted to rob the victim on Unity Drive. The victim tried to fight back but was shot and killed. The suspect was identified as 18-year-old Henry Steven Aguilar, who was later arrested after attempting to flee from officers in a vehicle and on foot.
Aguilar is charged with capital murder and evading arrest in the 185th Criminal District Court, and with aggravated robbery in the 232nd Criminal District Court.
On September 23, investigators arrested two additional suspects believed to be involved in the earlier carjacking: 18-year-old Jhalmar Ariel Aguilar-Soriano, who is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and theft in the 337th Criminal District Court, and a 16-year-old male juvenile, who has been referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation Authorities on the same charges.
Detectives believe the trio may be responsible for other violent crimes committed around September 21 using a black Infiniti G35 and a short-barrel AR-15 rifle with a white tip.
