HOUSTON, TX – A woman was shot during a drive-by shooting while eating dinner with her family outside their apartment on Friday night.
According to the Houston Police Department, the shooting occurred in the 5800 block of Glenmont Drive at the Cedar Glen Apartment complex. An individual was seen running through the front of the apartment complex when a vehicle traveling westbound on Glenmont Drive began shooting in his direction.
During the shooting, one of the family members, a woman, was struck in the stomach.
EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital. She is currently listed in stable condition and is expected to survive.
Children and other family members were present at the time, but no one else was injured.
