JACKSONVILLE, FL – Oct. 7, 2025 – According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, homicide detectives arrested 42-year-old Mark Gordon after a weekend shooting that left 30-year-old Trevian Jackson dead.

JSO said District 3 patrol officers responded about 9:30 p.m. Saturday to a report of a shooting at a seafood restaurant on Philips Highway near Baymeadows Road. Officers initially did not locate a victim at the scene. About an hour later, Jackson arrived at a local hospital with gunshot injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Homicide detectives, assisted by the Crime Scene Unit and the State Attorney’s Office, reviewed evidence and determined Gordon shot Jackson at the restaurant. Gordon was arrested and is being held at the Duval County jail.
He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
