Arrest made following domestic violence shooting in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX Oct. 12, 2025 – According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and first responders were dispatched at approximately 9:00 a.m. to the 5800 block of Parma Lane, outside the city limits of Round Rock, for a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies located a female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim, 43-year-old Tariro Ikpe, was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased despite lifesaving efforts. Detectives have determined the incident to be a domestic violence-related homicide.

The victim’s husband, 65-year-old Ekong Ikpe, was taken into custody and has been charged with murder. The investigation remains ongoing.

A sheriff’s office commander said the situation underscores the devastating impact domestic violence can have on families and extended condolences to the victim’s family as detectives continue their work.
