AUSTIN, TX – A man was fatally shot early Sunday morning outside a convenience store in north Austin, and police are asking the public for help in identifying the suspect.
The Austin Police Department responded at 3:11 a.m. on October 12, 2025, to the 7-Eleven located at 1822 Rutland Drive. Officers found a man lying in the parking lot next to his vehicle with gunshot wounds.
The victim, identified as Quinton Arnold, 37, was pronounced deceased at 4:19 a.m.
According to investigators, Arnold had been standing outside the store when a vehicle approached, opened fire, struck him, and fled the scene. Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process evidence and interview witnesses.
