According to court documents, Jones and the victim were both assigned to Houston Fire Station 21 on Main Street in June 2025, when the incident is alleged to have occurred.

Among the allegations, Jones is accused of attempting to use the victim’s credit card online to purchase a shirt and pair of sneakers totaling $650 from GOAT. Detectives subpoenaed account and internet records, which reportedly traced the attempted transaction back to Jones.

According to Constable Rosen, the victim had left his wallet inside a backpack at the station.

“It is especially unfortunate when a first responder takes advantage of a fellow first responder,” Harris County Constable Precinct One Alan Rosen said. “Our investigation is ongoing. More charges are possible.”

Jones is charged with credit card abuse, a state jail felony. His bond was set at $1,000 and has been made.

The case remains active in Harris County District Court under Cause No. 193683901010.
