HOUSTON, TX – A man was shot just before midnight while walking back from a convenience store to an apartment complex in the 9700 block of Mesa Drive.
According to the Houston Police Department, the victim, believed to be about 20 years old, was on foot when someone, possibly in a black Tahoe, opened fire.
He was struck in the buttocks and taken to the hospital, where he is expected to recover.
The investigation is ongoing.
