HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Marine veteran Quoc “Jake” Nguyen, 28, who was working as a rideshare driver when he was killed.
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Nguyen was found deceased on September 4, 2025, in the 13700 block of Lakewood Forest Drive. Investigators say Nguyen was shot, and his personal belongings and vehicle were taken by the suspects, who then fled the scene.
The arrests were made by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT):
- A 15-year-old male was arrested on October 9 and charged with capital murder.
- A 14-year-old male and a 13-year-old male were arrested on October 16, each charged with tampering with evidence.
All three suspects have been booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
The investigation remains ongoing.
