HOUSTON, TX – Three men have been charged with murder in the June 7 killing of 31-year-old Quincy White, who was shot multiple times while sitting inside his vehicle outside a convenience store at 3301 Green Street.
According to the Houston Police Department, the suspects have been identified as Herman Williams III, 43, Alfred Lucious, 26, and Ahmon Hogg, 22. All three are charged with murder in separate Harris County Criminal District Courts. Williams, who was driving the suspect vehicle, is also charged with tampering with evidence in the 339th District Court. All three men are currently in custody, with Williams and Lucious in the Harris County Jail on unrelated charges, and Hogg in federal custody.
Officers responded to the scene around 2 a.m. and located White inside the store, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene. Investigators determined White had been sitting in a silver Lincoln MKT when a black Dodge Charger pulled alongside and opened fire. White managed to flee inside the store before collapsing.
Court documents allege the killing was the result of a coordinated drive-by shooting involving all three suspects. Surveillance video from the “Green Store,” nearby churches, and a nearby hotel helped investigators piece together the movements of the suspects and tie them to the crime.
Phone records, ALPR (automatic license plate reader) hits, and video surveillance placed the Dodge Charger and a white Cadillac SUV, both vehicles seen traveling together, near the scene before and after the shooting. Police later discovered matching spent shell casings inside the Charger.
Williams was seen on video at a nearby hotel hours before the murder manipulating the vehicle’s license plate and loading a short-barreled rifle into the white Cadillac. Lucious and Hogg, identified through phone records and prior arrest history, were also seen entering and exiting a room at the hotel before and after the shooting.
Digital forensic analysis of Williams’ seized iPhone revealed communications with Lucious, also known as “Rolo,” and Hogg, also known as “Aj,” discussing the meet-up and possible plans for action. Cell phone data also showed both Williams and Lucious turned off their devices during the approximate time of the murder.
Further evidence from federal sources indicated Hogg was under investigation by the FBI in Seattle for multiple bank robberies and had been arrested in Mississippi days after the shooting in possession of firearms matching those seen in surveillance and social media posts.
Investigators believe the suspects orchestrated the killing with deliberate planning and coordination. Surveillance footage, communications, and ballistic evidence were all used to identify and charge the men.
