HOUSTON, TX – An investigation is underway after four people were shot, one fatally, early Sunday morning in southwest Houston.
According to Houston Police, officers first received a hospital check call around 5:06 a.m. after two people arrived at a hospital with gunshot wounds. The victims told officers they had been shot at a nightclub (El Caribe) on Rampart Street. When police went to the club, nothing appeared out of place.
Just before 6 a.m., officers were called to a second location, a nightclub in the 6900 block of Ashcroft Drive, just south of Bellaire Boulevard, where they found two additional victims. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene, and another was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
In total, four people were shot. Two remain hospitalized in stable condition, one is in critical condition, and one was pronounced deceased.
No suspect information has been released. Houston Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
