HOUSTON, TX – Police are looking for a suspect captured on surveillance footage in connection with the fatal shooting of John Crockett in southeast Houston.

The shooting occurred around 10:45 a.m. on October 22 in the 7900 block of Comal Street. Officers responded to the scene and found Crockett, 54, with gunshot wounds inside a crashed vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators say Crockett was driving when the suspect approached, made contact, and then shot him. The suspect fled on foot heading southbound, and the vehicle collided with a telephone pole.




The suspect, seen riding a bicycle before the shooting, was wearing a blue shirt, blue pants, and black shoes.
