AMARILLO, TX – A suspicious death is under investigation after a trailer fire was reported early Monday morning near NW 5th and Lamar.
At approximately 4:53 a.m., officers responded to the scene where an RV trailer was fully engulfed in flames. Fire crews extinguished the blaze, and a deceased individual was discovered inside the trailer.
Witnesses reported seeing a person walking away from the area shortly before smoke became visible, prompting the 911 call.
Fire Marshals, homicide investigators, and crime scene units responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
