FORT BEND COUNTY, TX – The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred in the 10500 block of State Highway 6 South in Sugar Land.

Deputies responded around 11:51 a.m. on June 21, 2025, to reports of a white Toyota Camry that had left the roadway and crashed into a ditch along the southbound lanes of State Highway 6 South. Upon arrival, deputies found the driver, identified as 43-year-old Roy Ferrer, deceased from a single gunshot wound to the head. Preliminary findings indicate that road rage may have been a contributing factor in the shooting.
Investigators are searching for a vehicle of interest described as a gray 2013–2019 Nissan Sentra with dark-tinted windows. Surveillance footage captured the vehicle near the scene.
“This case is a top priority for our agency,” said Sheriff Eric Fagan. “Our investigators are working tirelessly to piece together every detail of this case and pursue those responsible for this senseless act. We are asking the public to assist us by sharing any information that may help identify the vehicle or individuals involved. Your cooperation could make a critical difference.”
