HPD searching for four persons of interest following deadly home invasion

HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police are asking for the public’s help in locating four persons of interest wanted for questioning in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at 201 Plaza Verde Drive around 12:15 a.m. on October 3.

The individuals are described only as Black males. Photos of three of the persons of interest have been released, while a fourth male, not pictured, is believed to be associated with the group.

According to the HPD Homicide Division, officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex on Plaza Verde Drive and found the victim, identified as 35-year-old Lavelle Bryant, near the apartment leasing office. Bryant told officers that four suspects forced their way into his apartment and shot him. He managed to walk toward the leasing office before collapsing and telling a witness he had been the victim of a home invasion.

Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Bryant to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
