GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – Multiple people were injured in an overnight apartment fire that displaced more than 100 residents at the Autumn Ridge Apartment Complex.

Around 2:14 a.m. on November 1, officers with the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Little Gloucester Road for reports of an apartment fire. Upon arrival, heavy smoke was coming from the “C” Building, which houses approximately 40 apartments. Officers and firefighters immediately began evacuating residents.
All occupants of the building were displaced and are receiving assistance from the Office of Emergency Management and the Red Cross. Fire crews from Gloucester Township, Deptford, Winslow, Washington Township, Lindenwold, Pine Hill, Laurel Springs, and Magnolia responded and brought the fire under control by approximately 6:19 a.m.
Five injuries were reported, including one victim in critical condition and four others in stable condition. Among the injured was a firefighter who sustained minor burns. Emergency medical assistance was provided on scene by multiple agencies, including Inspira BLS, Pennsauken, Voorhees, Cherry Hill, Lindenwold, Washington Township, Gloucester County, and Virtua ALS.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Camden County Fire Marshal’s Office, the Blackwood Fire Department Fire Marshal, and the Gloucester Township Police Department.
