Major crash shuts down El Dorado for several hours at what neighbors describe as a dangerous intersection

Update 12/4/25 – Houston Police have confirmed the crash at El Dorado Boulevard and Hickory Knoll Drive was fatal, stating the 42-year-old male driver of a Ford Focus died at the scene after failing to yield at a stop sign and being struck by an eastbound Ford F-250 pulling a trailer. The collision pushed both vehicles into westbound lanes, where the F-250 then struck an Acura MDX.

HOUSTON, TX – A major crash involving three vehicles occurred at the intersection of Hickory Knoll and El Dorado in the Middlebrook subdivision in southeast Houston.

According to a neighbor, the intersection has been problematic, and subdivision signage was recently replaced following a previous crash.

The Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division was called out to the scene to investigate. Details on what led up to the crash and the extent of injuries are currently unknown.
