HOUSTON, TX – A woman was pronounced deceased after being stabbed during an argument while walking in northeast Houston just after 11 p.m.
According to police, witnesses say the woman was walking on Lyons Avenue near Hahlo and was arguing with a Hispanic male across the street before the man crossed over, and a physical altercation occurred. During the altercation, the woman was stabbed at least once
The suspect, described as a Hispanic male in his 20s to 30s wearing a gray hoodie and black beanie, then fled eastbound on Lyons.
Police stated the woman then ran approximately two blocks toward Lyons and Kress, where she flagged down a vehicle to call 911 before collapsing in a nearby parking lot. The Houston Fire Department transported her to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
Police have not confirmed whether a weapon has been recovered. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Houston Police Department Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
