HOUSTON, TX – A suspect barricaded at an apartment complex in north Houston prompted a SWAT response after reportedly firing shots at officers early this morning.
The standoff began around 12:40 a.m. at the Redstone Apartments located at 5401 Werner near Tidwell Road and Interstate 45.
Preliminary information indicates that shots were fired at officers, but no injuries have been reported. SWAT responded to the scene and law enforcement remains on site. The situation was still active as of 6 a.m.
