HOUSTON, TX – Two individuals were shot during a gathering at a short-term rental in the 2700 block of Blodgett late Saturday night.
Around 11:30 p.m., Houston Police officers responded to a shooting call and arrived to find a large crowd of approximately 40 juveniles at the location. A 17-year-old male was found with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and is believed to be in critical condition. A second male was located nearby with a gunshot wound to the foot.
Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital.
Police believe the shooting occurred following an altercation between two females that escalated in a nearby parking lot. The identity of the shooter remains unknown, and attendees told police they did not see the individual or know if he was part of the party.
