Crash under investigation after F250 veers into oncoming lane on Sheldon Road

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A head-on crash involving two pickup trucks in the 11000 block of Sheldon Road sent four people to the hospital.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit stated the incident occurred around 7:24 p.m. when a white Ford F250 traveling southbound veered into the northbound lane of the undivided two-lane road and collided with a Ford F150 traveling in the opposite direction.

Lighting is limited in the area and the roadway lacks street lamps.

The F250 was occupied by a single adult female driver who was transported to HCA Kingwood in stable condition.

The F150 contained three individuals. The adult female driver was transported by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital, also in stable condition. Two additional adult passengers, one male and one female, were transported by ambulance to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say speed is not suspected to be a factor. The crash remains under investigation as officials work to determine if alcohol may have contributed.

This is a developing story and more information will follow if it becomes available.
