HOUSTON, TX – A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle after stopping in the middle of the freeway and exiting her car to check her tire.
The crash occurred around 9:46 p.m. on Jan. 8 on the South Loop East near Broad Street.
The woman, believed to be in her late 20s to early 30s, was hit by an oncoming vehicle after she got out of her car. Deputies reported no signs of intoxication at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
