HOUSTON, TX – A man was shot in the stomach Friday night following an altercation outside a taqueria in southwest Houston.
The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. in the 10400 block of W. Bellfort Avenue. Police say the victim had been hanging out near the taqueria when a vehicle pulled up and a physical altercation began between him and the suspect.
During the altercation, the suspect pulled out a firearm and shot the man in the stomach.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is believed to be in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect’s identity and relationship to the victim are unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
