HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed early Saturday morning after a high-speed crash involving a pickup truck and a Toyota Camry at the intersection of Almeda-Genoa and Cullen.
According to Houston police, witnesses heard a pickup truck traveling northbound on Cullen at a high rate of speed around 3:45 a.m. A Toyota Camry, driven by a female, was traveling westbound on Almeda-Genoa when the two vehicles collided in the intersection.
The impact caused the Camry to roll several times as the truck dragged it on Cullen, eventually coming to rest on top of the car. The female driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck fled after the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
