HOUSTON, TX – A man was fatally shot near the entrance of a southeast Houston sports bar around 9 p.m. Monday evening, according to police.
Officers with Southeast Patrol responded to the shooting in the 12800 block of Cullen Boulevard at the Big K Sports Bar and Lounge. When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound near the front door of the bar.
Investigators say the victim’s friends dragged him further inside the bar and then fled the scene before officers arrived. He was pronounced deceased at the location.
No disturbance was reported prior to the shooting, and investigators currently have limited information about what led up to it.
