Man found shot to death inside apartment at Ashford Stancliff Park in southwest Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A man was found deceased inside his apartment following a shooting at the Ashford Stancliff Park apartment complex in the 10350 block of Lands End Drive around Tuesday night.

According to the Houston Police Department, patrol officers were dispatched to a report of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found bullet holes in an apartment unit. Officers conducted a welfare check and discovered a Black male, approximately 20 years old, deceased inside.

Police believe the shooting occurred in the courtyard outside the unit. The victim remained inside during the incident and was struck by gunfire that came from outside the apartment. Investigators believe the gunfire was targeted toward that specific unit, though it is unclear whether the suspects knew who was inside.

At least 20 shell casings were recovered at the scene. Police believe there were approximately five to six individuals involved or who are considered persons of interest. No suspect identities or vehicles have been confirmed at this time.
