HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A bicyclist was killed after a two-vehicle crash led to a secondary collision along FM 2100 near US 90 around 9:45 p.m.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a gray Ford F-150 was traveling northbound in the 13300 block of FM 2100 while a brown Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling southbound in the same block.
Both signal lights for FM 2100 traffic were yellow. The Hyundai driver failed to yield the right of way while turning left and struck the Ford within the intersection at FM 2100 and the US 90 Service Road.
Following the collision, the Ford veered off the road and struck Chad Davis, who was riding a bicycle northbound near the right shoulder.
Davis was transported by Life Flight #3 to Memorial Hermann Downtown, where he was pronounced deceased at 10:49 p.m.
The driver of the Hyundai was transported to Memorial Hermann Downtown and listed in stable condition. The driver of the Ford remained on scene, showed no signs of intoxication, and was later released.
The incident remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
