Man shot in face and stomach during altercation in north Houston

HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police officers responded to a shooting call around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Evelyn and Fulton.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult Hispanic male with gunshot wounds to the stomach and face. He was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Police said the victim and the suspect were in a vacant field when an altercation occurred. During the scuffle, the suspect produced a firearm and shot the victim at least twice.

The suspect fled the scene and remains unidentified at this time.

Officers were actively searching the area and conducting surveillance.

The HPD Major Assaults Division is leading the investigation.
